Questions people ask
What are the age and height requirements to race?
To use the junior karts a driver needs to be at least 8 years old, around 1.2 metres tall, with roughly a 25-inch inside leg. To move up to the full-size adult karts, drivers need to be at least 13, about 1.5 metres tall, and have close to a 29-inch inside leg.
Will bad weather affect my booking?
Because TeamSport venues are indoor circuits, racing goes ahead regardless of rain, wind or other outdoor conditions. You shouldn't need to worry about a forecast disrupting your session.
What should I wear for karting?
The site doesn't spell out a strict dress code for Warrington specifically, but sensible flat shoes and clothing you can move around in are generally a good idea for any karting session. Any protective gear such as helmets is provided by the venue on arrival.
How long does a visit take?
Total time on-site depends on the experience booked — for example, some formats include a timed qualifying session followed by a separate race, while others involve two distinct races back to back. Expect your overall visit to run longer than just the on-track time once briefing and kitting up are included, though an exact duration isn't stated.
Is there a minimum group size for parties or corporate events?
No fixed minimum group number is published; personalised bookings like parties, stag/hen dos and corporate events are quoted individually over the phone rather than priced online. This suggests flexibility depending on what you're planning.
Can spectators watch, and do kids need an adult with them?
Onlookers are welcome to watch from the sidelines while others race. Any driver under 16 must have an adult aged 18 or over accompanying them at the venue and should not be left alone if that adult is racing themselves, though children aged 8 and up can drive independently.
Are there any health or size restrictions I should know about?
There's no strict cut-off, but a maximum height of around 6'4" and weight of about 18 stone is recommended for comfortable and safe kart handling. Certain medical conditions may also affect eligibility, and a mandatory safety briefing applies to everyone before racing.
