Questions people ask

What is the minimum age and height to go karting here?

The youngest drivers allowed are 8 years old, provided they reach 1.3 metres in height, which covers cadet karts and family-style events. Standard adult competitive races require drivers to be at least 14 with a height of 1.52 metres.

Will my session be cancelled if the weather is bad?

No, the circuit is fully indoors, so racing goes ahead as normal regardless of rain, wind or other weather conditions throughout the year.

What should I wear for karting?

Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes such as trainers - sandals and flip-flops aren't permitted. A racing suit and helmet are supplied, though gloves and a balaclava must be purchased on top if you don't bring your own.

How long does a typical karting event last?

Track time varies by event format, but most packages include a short practice run, a qualifying session, and a final race lasting a combined 20-30 minutes on track. You're asked to arrive 40 minutes early for briefing and kitting up before your allotted time.

Is there a minimum number of people needed to book an event?

Yes, group sizes differ by event - for example the Eliminator needs at least 12 drivers, the Grand Prix needs at least 8 on weekdays (12 at weekends), and the Super Grand Prix needs a minimum of 16 racers.

Can friends and family watch from the sidelines?

Yes, there are dedicated viewing and seating areas plus an on-site café overlooking the track, so spectators can relax and watch the racing in comfort.

Am I allowed to wear my own helmet?

You can bring your own helmet as long as it has a chin strap and a visor - open-face helmets worn with separate goggles aren't allowed on track.

What's the best way to make a booking?

You can reserve your session by phone, through the website's online booking system, or in person by speaking to a member of staff at reception.
