About South Coast Karting

South Coast Karting runs the outdoor Chapel Gate Circuit at Parley, on the edge of Christchurch near Bournemouth Airport. The track is 580 metres long with 14 corners.

The hire fleet is made up of Biz karts: 200cc karts for drivers aged 13 and over, and 120cc cadet karts for 8 to 12 year olds. Adults and cadets race separately except in family sessions, which let parents and children share the track.

Individuals can book 15-minute timed sessions or the Saturday open race, while groups can take the track exclusively for sprint formats or a 60-minute team endurance race. There are also cadet birthday parties, driver coaching and championships for cadets, juniors and adults.

The karts

  • Biz 200cc
  • Biz 120cc
One thing we're checking: Engine sizes are published; fuel type is inferred from the cc-rated Biz karts and should be confirmed by the operator.
