About Shenington Kart Racing Club

Shenington Kart Racing Club runs an outdoor owner-driver circuit on the former RAF Edgehill airfield near Banbury, on the Oxfordshire–Warwickshire border. Karting has taken place here since 1960, and the site hosted rounds of the early World Karting Championships.

The track measures 1,018 metres for direct-drive karts and 1,211 metres for gearbox classes. The club, affiliated to Motorsport UK and the ABKC, holds Friday and Saturday practice days and a race calendar covering Cadet to Senior classes, including gearbox karts.

There are no hire karts: drivers bring their own. Cadets can practise from age 7 and race from 8 once they hold a Motorsport UK licence and have passed the ARKS test, which can be taken at the circuit.
