What is the minimum age to drive a kart at PFi?

Drivers must be at least 17 years old, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to sign them on before racing.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Sessions still go ahead in typical rain, with wet weather suits supplied if needed. Only truly severe conditions like heavy storms, snow, sleet or dense fog could lead to a cancellation.

What should I wear for a session?

You'll need sensible, closed-toe shoes (no sandals or heels). Race suits and helmets are provided, though you can use your own if suitable, and a balaclava and gloves are compulsory (available to buy for £5 if you don't have them).

How long does a karting session take?

It varies by format—an entry-level practice session can be over in as little as 15 minutes, while a full grand prix with 20 drivers can run for around two and a half hours; larger groups generally take about an hour per 10 drivers.

Is there a minimum number of drivers needed for a booking?

For a private, exclusive track hire you'll need at least 18 drivers. Open sessions, where you share the track with other groups, don't have a set minimum number.

Do I need a driving licence to take part?

No driving licence is required, but you must be capable of safely controlling a kart according to the circuit's own health and safety criteria.

Is there a weight limit for drivers?

No — the karts have adjustable seats and pedals to accommodate different driver sizes, and the venue states it does not apply any weight restrictions.

Do you help beginners who haven't karted before?

Yes, every session includes a compulsory pre-race briefing that covers everything newcomers need to know to drive safely and enjoy the experience.
