Junior karting sessions are open to children from age 8 who are at least 4ft5in (134.6cm) tall. To drive the adult karts, drift karts or take part in Grand Prix and Simulator packages you need to be 15 or older and at least 5ft4in (162.5cm).

The centres don't publish a specific wet-weather cancellation policy on their site, so it's best to call ahead if conditions look poor. Staff can advise whether your session will go ahead as planned.

Closed-toe shoes are required — trainers are recommended, and flip-flops, sandals or any open-toe footwear are not permitted. You're welcome to bring your own racewear as long as it meets a proper safety standard.

Sessions range from short 15-20 minute slots up to 60-minute endurance-style bookings depending on the package chosen. You should plan to arrive 30 minutes before your allocated start time to allow for check-in and a safety briefing.

Standard karting sessions have no minimum number, so you can turn up solo or in any size group. Larger format events like the Grand Prix packages do require a minimum group size — generally around 10 people, rising to 15 for the Super Grand Prix format.

Yes, both the Cork and Limerick centres have dedicated waiting and viewing areas so spectators can watch the action even if they aren't racing themselves.

Yes, all karting sessions must be pre-booked and secured with a deposit, since the centres are often booked out weeks in advance. Walk-ins without a reservation cannot be guaranteed a slot.

You'll be issued a balaclava, neck brace, full-face helmet and gloves before your session, and staff will run through all rules and instructions beforehand. This kit is included as standard for every driver.
