Questions people ask

What are the age and height requirements to drive?

You need to be at least 8 years old and 130cm tall to drive a junior kart, while adult karts require drivers to be 14 or older. Some race formats, like the Grand Prix and Endurance races, are restricted to those 16 and up. A two-seater option lets a young passenger as young as 5 ride along with an adult driver.

What should I wear for a karting session?

Closed-toe, flat shoes are a must — no sandals, heels or crocs. Race suits, helmets, gloves and balaclavas are supplied, though you're welcome to bring your own kit as long as it meets safety standards like a full-face helmet and one-piece overalls.

What happens if the weather turns bad?

Karting continues regardless of rain, and wet-weather suits are provided to keep drivers comfortable. It's still worth packing a change of clothes just in case you get damp.

Do I need to reserve my spot ahead of time?

Yes, every session needs to be booked and paid for before you arrive on the day.

Can friends and family watch, and are pets welcome?

Onlookers are welcome to watch the action, though any children in the crowd need an adult keeping an eye on them. Pets, however, aren't allowed anywhere on the premises.

What if I turn up late?

If the safety briefing has already started by the time you arrive, you won't be able to join that session, and no refund will be issued.

Is there a minimum number of people needed for a booking?

Standard sessions don't require a minimum, but the exclusive 30-minute family session needs at least 10 participants to book it out privately.

How long does a session actually last?

It depends on the format — family sessions run for 15 or 30 minutes, junior inductions include 15 minutes of track time, and race events like the Grand Prix combine a 15-minute practice with a 30-minute race (45 minutes for the Endurance format).

Do participants need a driving licence?

No licence is required — everyone gets a full safety briefing and driving instructions before heading out on track.
