Questions people ask

What is the minimum age to drive a hire kart?

Drivers taking part in Arrive and Drive sessions need to be at least 8 years old and stand a minimum of 4'6" tall.

Is there a different age limit for private events?

Yes, anyone driving in a Private Event booking (Iron Man, Grand Prix or Endurance) must be at least 16 years old, which is older than the minimum age for casual Arrive and Drive sessions.

How long does a standard karting session last?

A single Arrive and Drive session on track lasts 15 minutes, with options to book two or three sessions in one visit.

Do I need to book ahead of time?

Booking isn't mandatory for Arrive and Drive, but the circuit recommends reserving a slot in advance, particularly during busy periods, and a non-refundable deposit is taken per person when you do.

What extra items might I need to pay for on the day?

Gloves are required for driving and cost £1 if you don't bring your own, and if you're using one of the circuit's hire helmets you'll also need a balaclava, available for £2.

How many people do I need for a Private Event?

Private Events are designed for groups of eight or more drivers, with the Endurance format specifically needing between 8 and 20 teams, each made up of 2 to 5 drivers.

What's provided for Private Events?

Private Event bookings come with a driver briefing, race suit and helmet hire, and a podium presentation with trophies awarded to the top three finishers in the Iron Man and Grand Prix formats.

What kart do I get to drive?

Arrive and Drive customers use the venue's 390cc Sodi SR5 karts, which have pedals that can be adjusted to suit the driver's leg length and foot size.
