About BattleKart Gateshead
BattleKart Gateshead is an indoor electric karting venue on Delta Bank Road, across the road from the Metrocentre and about ten minutes' drive from Newcastle city centre.
Instead of a fixed kerbed circuit, the karts run across an open floor onto which projectors draw the track and a set of games, including racing, a football-style mode and team games, with up to 12 players per 15-minute session.
Entry depends on height rather than age, with drivers needing to be at least 1.45 m tall, so it suits families with older children, teenagers, birthday parties and work groups rather than competitive racers.
