About Anglia Indoor Karting

Anglia Indoor Karting has operated for over 30 years from an industrial unit on Farthing Road, on the western side of Ipswich. The building holds two separate multi-level circuits, each with flyover sections, plus a laser maze.

The upstairs track runs electric karts for juniors and families, with small battery karts for children aged 5 to 7. The downstairs track features a tunnel and several hairpins and is used for adult racing in LPG-powered Sodi karts and for cadet club drivers.

Drivers need to be at least 8 years old and 1.27 m tall for standard karting. Formats include arrive-and-drive laps, small-group races, Grand Prix, a 100-lap Iron Man and a two-driver enduro, plus children's parties and a cadet club.

Upstairs circuit Biz Ecovolt electric · Kubz battery karts First-floor multi-level layout with a flyover, ramp, uphill section, hairpin and banked S-bend, reached by stairs. Children aged 5–7 drive small battery-powered Kubz karts; drivers 8+ use Biz Ecovolt electric karts and need to be at least 1.27 m (inside leg 26 in). Used for junior and family arrive-and-drive.

Downstairs circuit Sodi SR5 (270cc Honda, LPG) · Cadet karts (200cc petrol) Multi-level layout with a tunnel, hairpins and a flyover. Adult events are 16+. Family sessions here are open to juniors aged 12–15 and to cadet club members (from age 8). Minimum height 1.27 m for all drivers.

One thing we're checking: Adult karts are Sodi SR5 with 270cc Honda LPG engines; cadet karts have 200cc petrol engines that can be restricted; the upstairs fleet is electric Biz Ecovolt with sliding seats and adjustable pedals; Kubz karts for 5–7s are battery powered.
